Male and female flowers are located on separate trees (dioecious plants). The male inflorescence (flower head) is more highly branched with longer and more extended stalks. Flowers are tiny (about 1 millimetre in diameter), clustered together and hidden behind large bracts. The pictures below are from a male inflorescence.

This plant might be mistaken as Macaranga triloba as they look very similar. Macaranga triloba has been reported in Punggol End Forest in a 2013 publication [1].
